Experience horses in ways that enrich and empower the human spirit
The EquuSatori Center
We specialize in providing opportunities for people to experience the gifts inherent in the horse’s nature.
An EquuSatori center is a place where people learn about Equine Assisted Learning and experience the power and wisdom gained by “being in the field,” with horses.
Horses invite us to step out of our thinking mind. In this process, we enlivening our awareness and shift to the heart. In this process, we connect with our own creative source. Marvel at what comes up when you’re not busy figuring it out.
The EquuSatori Center currently offers programs at affiliate locations in Northern California, Arizona, and Washington state.
Our Mission
To raise global awareness and understanding of the Horse-Human connection and it’s beneficial impact on consciousness, personal development, as well as, physiological and emotional health; while engaging with horses in a manner that promotes mindful equine care and training techniques.
Our Name
Satori, a Zen Buddhist term, refers to a “moment of enlightenment.” EquuSatori refers to the insights or “Ah-ha” moments of enlightenment that occur when humans experience a heartfelt energetic connection with horses. EquuSatori Center is a place where people can come experience being in the field, with horses.

Programs For Healthcare Professionals
At EquuSatori Center, we strive to incorporate scientific knowledge proving efficacy of mindful Equine Assisted Experiential Learning practices. Since 2006, we have been part of a research team conducting ongoing studies examining which horse-human interactions promote the most healthful states for both humans and horse.
We are currently offering sessions for nurses and other healthcare professionals in August and September of 2026 in partnership with Halleck Creek Ranch at their Rock Rose Ranch location in Nicasio, CA.
